Journal Sneak Peek :)

Hey my lovelies, I'm so sorry for not posting anything for the past few days its all because I was caught up trying to make you guys a video; pretty much this title itself is self-explanatory.

I was making a detailed video of my first ever journal/artsy scrapbook thingie. Yes , I know a very weird and long name. Doesn't make any sense.

Well first of all planning and structuring this video took me a couple of hours also with the added interruptions I had to face, it was quite difficult moreover, the clarity sucked :(.

So I went ahead and downloaded this video editor from online and I edited and trimmed my video to my liking and to be honest it turned out great. But I met with another problem....

Blogger doesn't allow videos more than 100 MB :( and my video was approximately 1.61 GB, which sucks guys.
So I decided video or no video I need to upload this post, can't keep my viewers waiting ;you know what I'm saying.

My journal isn't any sort of moleskin or pretty planner types from online stores. Its just a normal hardbound yearly diary from one of My mom's colleagues company.
The thing I liked the most about it was its structure, it was pretty solid and had a very nice smooth cover of a sort of mahogany color. The only issue was the name of the company was embossed onto the cover.
Now I don't know about you guys but that didn't impress me even a little bit. So I decided to design my own cover. I went ahead and collected few of my favorite quotes and pictures from Pinterest, Tumblr and Google.

And using Picmonkey I edited the pictures and put it into a collage format. And took a clear laser print of my collage and pasted it onto my cover, I added a cute pink bow on the cover to spice up the cover.

And that is how it looks.

Inside I went ahead and used up the free pages, And dazzled up the plain looking sheets into something more interesting and something that spoke more about the journal itself. Feel free to do as much or as less as you like. You don't need to change the pages inside once you open it, you could leave it plain, but I preferred changing up the pattern and throwing in some pops of color.

So I used accents that spelled out the words " LOVE MEMORIES" and then doodled on the word " AND" and then pasted on a pre printed template that said " LIVE COLORFULLY". I didn't have my collection of washi tape that time, since I just shifted to my new home recently. It was in my previous house, so had to get it through one of my cousins when he came. So instead I used a slice of patterned paper and ragged up the edges to give it a more tapey look maybe?. And stuck that on the edges of the template.

On the other side I doodled the words " UNRAVELING EMOTIONS" on a piece of patterned paper, and stuck another template I had also stuck die-cut pieces of grasses and a pop up accent of a basket of flowers which are self embossed with silver glitter.

The next few pages in the diary are calendars and International holidays, country wise. And next we come to the Index page. Its nothing great or too fancy. I wrote the word "INDEX" using a pilot marker which is why it blotted a little to the other side. I usually don't fill this up cause I am much of a procrastinator, and besides if I do fill this index up properly I'm afraid there won't be any room left.

So I just wrote down a few.

The next page is Word of the week or month mostly. I liked the word " BLISS" and so drew it onto a piece of pink color paper cut in the shape of a circle and stuck that onto white sheet of paper cut into a circle a little bigger than the pink one and stuck that onto a patterned paper. Also I searched in Pinterest for a 2016 calendar so I could mark out the months and doodled on some leaf designs on the edges and wrote below " OH HOW THE DAYS GO :) "

Next is my 2016 Bliss banner goals and 2016 pie chart format goals. I'm quite sure you did not understand what I just said.
Anyways, I think I saw a fellow journal and planner keeper doing this, and I was instantly in love with this idea, that I had to implement it in mine too. I'm not quite sure who she was, But if I find out I will mention her in a future post of mine.

Some of my ideas I have taken from one of my favorite journal keepers, BohoBerry. Please do check her out she has awesome ideas for planning and journal keeping.

So basically this is just for me to check if I'm on tract with my Diet, books routine, Bible routine, Fitness regime etc etc. so I went ahead and put it in two different formats; that's all. Personally I love love love the pie chart version; just cause I can go ahead and color in the pieces.

That's it I have for you guys today. :* Leave a comment down below telling me what you liked the most about the sneak peak an what would you like to see next. On my next post I'll be showing you more of my journal.

Hope you guys had an amazing day. Hugs and kisses xo

Shey.
